The role: You will play an important role in an enthusiastic web agency that produces extremely usable, visually inspiring websites and applications that incorporate the latest interface patterns and web technologies.

The role is suited to someone who:

• Highly experienced in programming CSS and (X)HTML in a semantic manner and meet W3C standards
• Highly experienced in OO PHP (version 5) framework based custom and open source content management systems
• Understands the benefits of web standards, usability and accessibility
• Takes a great deal of pride in the quality of their work, keeps up to date with web best practice and is aware of the latest in usability interface patterns i.e. form design, images, links, video and audio embedding
• Has excellent communication skills and that demonstrates a willingness to cooperate and engage within a web agency environment
• Is an excellent thinker

Experience in each of the following is required

• 3-5 years commercial experience in Server-side development in OO PHP (version 5 experience a must)
• 3-5 years commercial experience in XHTML, CSS, JavaScript (libraries such as JQuery/MooTools)
• MySQL and database design
• Linux experience helpful
• Version control
• Have a working knowledge of design software (e.g. Photoshop)

Desirable but not essential

• Experience with iPhone development.

Summary: You will be required to work closely with our designers and front-end coders to produce polished commercial applications and projects. You will have the ability to help with architecture and system design.

Candidates should use object oriented programming and produce clean, optimised and readable code.
