Hardware & IoT
The latest analysis by Gartner forecasts that there will be over 26 billion connected devices by 2020.
Despite its enormity and complexity, we’re excited by the possibilities unlocked by the so-called Internet of Things (IoT).
In simple terms, the IoT embraces all digital objects which are connected and communicate with each other. It is driven by the collection and sharing of data – dramatically changing the way we do business. Faced with increasing amounts of data, technology challenges and potential process inefficiencies; identifying how best to leverage the power of IoT is critical.
With our strong IoT and Machine to Machine (M2M) partnerships, we can tap into a host of business transformation technology and access some of Australia’s most progressive networks. This reflects our commitment to strive for better ways of delivering meaningful products and services. The benchmark for how we apply human design thinking to the entire technical landscape from software engineering, integrating legacy systems and architecting APIs.
The tangible results of our IoT-related work spans RFID networks, bluetooth beacons and smart APIs. This extends to using the Cumulocity platform to deliver fully tailored device and application management.
Taking up the gauntlet of change, we constantly challenge ourselves with research and development. Our projects include experiments on sensor data and machine learning such as IBM’s Watson, Amazon AI and Neota Logic.
