Why we build in Webflow

We are a design-led agency, and a Webflow developer is only as good as the thinking in front of the build. We choose Webflow when it is the right tool, and say so when it is not. For a marketing site that has to look considered, load fast, and be edited by the people who own the content, it usually is the right tool.

Webflow’s value is that it collapses the gap between design and build. We design in Figma, then build the same thing in Webflow with no handoff to a separate development queue. What you approve in design is what ships. The Figma to Webflow handover is a craft in itself, and one we have done across regulated and complex projects.

Built to last, and yours to run

After launch, your marketing team owns the site. Webflow’s Editor (a separate, locked-down layer from the Designer, so content changes cannot break the build) and its CMS Collections mean adding a case study, a campaign landing page or a new team member does not require a developer or a support ticket. That keeps the site easy to update as your content and campaigns change, long after launch.

The work that makes a Webflow site worth having, the research, the information architecture, the content, the accessibility, happens before anyone opens the Designer. Webflow is where it gets built, not where the thinking starts. More on that in our broader website design and development practice.

What a substantial Webflow build involves

A substantial Webflow build rests on a layer of work that never shows on the surface. Here is what goes into one.

  • Information architecture & content strategyWe map what the site has to do for each audience and structure it around real tasks, not an org chart.
  • Component & CMS architectureReusable components and Webflow CMS Collections that scale to hundreds of pages. Localisation planned in from the start.
  • A Figma design system, built faithfullyType, colour, spacing, components and the interactions Webflow is built for. A deliberate handover that matches the design exactly.
  • Integrations & logicForms, CRM, search, gated content and analytics wired in. Conditional flows use Webflow Logic where it fits.
  • Staging & a review workflowStaging, version history and editor roles so stakeholders sign off before go-live. For regulated clients this matters.
  • Technical SEOURL structure, metadata, schema, redirects and sitemaps configured at build, so the site does not lose ground on launch day.
  • Accessibility, built inWCAG 2.2 lives in the IA, heading structure, colour, focus order and content patterns. Designed in from the first wireframe.
  • PerformanceImage strategy, lazy loading and Core Web Vitals tuned for a real phone on mobile data.

Webflow work we have shipped

We are an Australian Webflow team with regulated, enterprise and not-for-profit delivery behind us. Conduct has been designing and building since 2008, and is a Good Design Award-winning studio. Recent Webflow work:

We're a regulated business in a market that doesn't forgive imprecision. From the outset, Conduct earned our trust by getting the foundations right: information architecture, brand voice, content strategy, before any high-fidelity design. They treated compliance as part of the project plan rather than a final-hurdle review, and the result was a website our CMO and compliance team both stood behind from launch. The delivery experience was as good as the outcome: the design thinking was contemporary in the way that matters, the team was straightforward to work with, and we trusted the approach the whole way through. Frequently asked questions

What does a custom Webflow site cost in Australia?+

A focused custom Webflow site typically lands between A$30,000 and A$80,000, depending on the depth of research, the number of page designs and CMS collections, and the integrations involved. A small brochure site costs a fraction of that, and we will say so when that is all a project needs. Most of the cost is in the design and content work upstream, not the Webflow build itself.

Can you migrate our WordPress site to Webflow?+

Yes, and it is one of the more common things we are asked to do. We did exactly this for GO Markets, moving years of content off WordPress onto Webflow. A migration is a good moment to fix the information architecture rather than port the old structure across. It is not always the right call, and if your site is better served staying on custom WordPress we will tell you.

Do you work from Figma designs?+

Always. We design in Figma and build in Webflow, and the handover between the two is deliberate. If you already have Figma designs, we can work from them. The Figma to Webflow step is where fidelity is most easily lost, and it is one we treat as craft.

Is Conduct a Webflow agency or a freelancer?+

We are an established Australian agency with an in-house team. Webflow is one of several platforms we build on, which means you get a Webflow build backed by a full design, content and accessibility practice.

Will our marketing team be able to edit the site after launch?+

Yes. That is one of the main reasons to choose Webflow. We set the site up so your team can add pages, campaigns, case studies and content through the Webflow Editor and CMS without needing a developer. We hand over with training, and most clients stay on a light retainer for the bigger changes.

Webflow or WordPress: which should we choose?+

It depends on the job, and the platform should fall out of the design, not the other way around. Webflow suits marketing sites that need to look considered and be easy to edit. Custom WordPress suits content-heavy or deeply integrated builds. We help you make that call based on what the job needs.
