AMillionPaths

AMillionPaths is a careers, education and employment platform built on real career journeys, the real paths people took and the insight behind each step.

Based in Tasmania and working in partnership with the University of Tasmania, it sets out to bridge the gap between education and employment.

BRIEF

A destination to turn an invite into a decision

AMillionPaths is an invite-only careers guidance and recruitment platform, so most people are introduced to it the same way: an email from someone they know, inviting them in. That email opens the door, but it may not do the convincing on its own.

Our brief was to design the website that supports the platform: a marketing and information hub curious visitors may explore if they want to know more about what they have been invited into. See our case study on the platform build.

Shaping the site together

We didn’t come to this site cold. Months of R&D on the AMillionPaths platform meant we already knew how it worked, what made it different, and what a new user experiences inside. We weren’t interpreting a product from a brief, we were building the website for something we knew intimately.

Working closely with the directors, we ran workshops to pressure-test ideas and shape the solution together. Those sessions defined what the website needed to do: be the primary destination that informs people about AMillionPaths, deliver the emotional hooks that turn a curious visitor into someone who wants in, and give returning users a clear way back into the platform.

Built on the platform's foundation

Design started low-fidelity. In workshops, we built the information architecture together, from the idea, to why it matters now, to who is behind it, to a clear way in, using wireframes to shape the flow before any visual detail. We then moved to high-fidelity, building a design system grounded in the look and feel already established by the AMillionPaths platform, so the website feels continuous with the product it introduces and supports.

We worked with the client on the copy and design, and refined it with the client until the words were as considered as the design. Brand and video came from The20, the brand agency on the project; we designed the site to carry their work through every screen.

Built in Webflow, wired to the platform

The website is where people first learn more about the AMillionPaths platform, and where invited users sign in. We built the site in Webflow and connected sign-in to the existing Microsoft Entra setup within the platform, so users move from the marketing site into the platform securely, with their identity handled properly from the first click.

Webflow gives AMillionPaths a fast, polished site the team can manage and grow themselves, without being tied to an agency for every change. We tested, refined, and released. We also designed and built the platform the site connects to: a custom web application engineered in .NET and Azure.

We came to Conduct with an idea and needed a partner who could make it real. They worked through it with us, the strategy, the design and the build, with a level of care you do not often find. We could not be happier with how it turned out. If you are a founder looking for someone to take your idea and see it realised, talk to Conduct: practical, sharp, and they get things done properly. Live, and ready to grow

The website is live at amillionpaths.com, now the public home for AMillionPaths. It introduces the idea and what to expect with the platform, makes the evidence-led case for why career guidance needs to change, and gives invited users a clear way back into the platform, which is now open to its first contributors.
