What does custom software development cost in Australia?+−

Custom software typically runs from around A$60,000 to A$150,000 or more, and an enterprise platform can run higher again, depending on complexity, the number of users and the integrations involved. Most of the cost is in the design and engineering, not licensing. We scope properly up front so the number is real before you commit.

Should we build custom software or buy off-the-shelf?+−

Often the answer is both: buy the commodity parts and build the differentiator. Off-the-shelf wins when your need is common and well served by a product. Custom wins when the software is your process, your advantage or your compliance obligation. We help you make that call honestly, even when it means not building.

Can you replace our spreadsheets, Access database or Power Apps build?+−

Yes, and it is one of the more common reasons organisations come to us. Spreadsheets, an Access database or a low-code build are a good way to start and a hard way to scale: they hit ceilings on concurrent users, data integrity, security and cost. We rebuild the logic and the data model properly as custom software, so the thing your organisation depends on is built to last.

Do you build for government, health and enterprise?+−

Yes. Much of our work is for government, health, enterprise and not-for-profit organisations, with secure-by-design engineering and WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility built in. We have been doing this since 2008.

Will we own the software and the code?+−

Yes. You own the code, the data and the system. We are an in-house Australian team and we hand over properly, with documentation and training. Most clients stay on a light retainer for the bigger changes, but that is your choice, not a lock-in.
