Appointed to five Australian government panels

Conduct holds active appointments on five Australian government panels: the federal GovCMS panel and DTA Digital Marketplace, plus the Victorian eServices Register and the Solution Delivery panels for the Departments of Justice & Community Safety and Health. Two federal, three state.

Under GovCMS we delivered the Austrade web ecosystem and currently provide ongoing Drupal design and development for the National Reconstruction Fund Corporation. Across our wider government work, we deliver projects guided by real user research and the Digital Service Standard.

Austrade: GovCMS web ecosystem for Australia’s exporters and investors

Austrade engaged Conduct to redesign the information architecture for a complex GovCMS/Drupal web ecosystem serving Australian exporters, international buyers, investors, students and other audiences. The work involved 20+ internal stakeholder interviews, 13 contextual interviews with Australian businesses, a 25-participant card sort, three rounds of navigation tree testing, and 350+ website survey responses. We put forward an IA that de-emphasised global navigation in favour of clearly-delineated audience subsites, and equipped Austrade with detailed guides, content flows and wireframes to make changes incrementally.

Victorian Electoral Commission: Voters Voice — accessible voting for 280,000+ Victorians

The Victorian Electoral Commission’s vision is that all Victorians actively participate in their democracy. Working in partnership with Scope, the VEC commissioned Conduct to address voting challenges for an estimated 280,000 to 300,000 Victorians with communication difficulties. We designed a native iPad app, Voters Voice, that lets users communicate their name, residence and voting record via a touchscreen keyboard, with instructions delivered in both Auslan and simplified English. The app brought accessible democratic participation to people who had previously been excluded from the ballot.
